Wastewater Treatment
As with many Industries compressed air is crucial in the wastewater treatment industry for various applications. It plays a vital role in aeration, providing the oxygen necessary for aerobic digestion and enhancing the efficiency of biological treatment processes. By keeping solids suspended and preventing the formation of anaerobic zones, compressed air ensures consistent treatment and reduces foul odors. It also aids in odor control by minimizing the production of malodorous gases.

Air compressor systems in wastewater treatment
Kaeser blowers are often found in wastewater treatment plants to provide aeration in the promotion of aerobic digestion in activated sludge plants. Efficient ecosystem operation is assisted with blower aeration retaining suspended solids in channels, sedimentation tanks, and aeriated grit chambers. The Kaeser blower range is available in many configurations.
- Three Lobe Bare Block Blower minimizes pulsation with outstanding service life expectancy, up to 100,000 hours. Precision manufacturing ensures minimal flank clearance and reduced volume capacity losses.
- Rotary Screw Blowers are a sound proofed highly efficient plug and play solution. Minimalistic energy consumption and the ability to operate at 100% duty cycle explains why Kaeser is a market leader in Industrial and Municipal wastewater treatment, fermentation, floatation, and fluidization applications. Our range includes 10hp-335hp with flow rates from 190cfm to as much as 5,650cfm. Pressure differential can be as low as 4.4psig to a maximum of 16psig.
- Turbo Blowers are ideal for aeration applications. Reliable and energy efficient, Kaeser’s Turbo Blowers are found wherever low pressure processed air is required. Our innovative magnetic bearings result in completely wear free drive motors. Available in 200hp and 400hp with flow rates up to 9420cfm and pressures between 4psig and 20psig, our Turbo Blowers are perfect for biological wastewater treatment, fermentation, aerobic and floatation applications.
