Refrigerated Air Dryers - High Temp dryers
High temperature refrigerated air dryers, (HTRD), utilise a twin heat exchanger design, with stage 1 being an aftercooler. The aftercooler drastically reduces the hot approach temperature of compressed air, typically at 180°F, down to approximately 100°F which is suitable for the standard refrigerated air dryer system pre piped inside the same compact cabinet. Approach temperatures of approximately 180°F are typical from a reciprocating piston style air compressor. Installation and serviceability are simplistic and low cost with the HTRD style dryers. Two additional, and important considerations are the ambient temperature in which the HTRD dryer operates, and the inlet pressure of the compressed air being dried. There are correction factors for any deviation from either of these parameters altering from 100°F. Variations in approach temperature, ambient temperature and inlet pressure drastically alter the capabilities and capacities of the HTRD dryer.

The system
The refrigerated air dryer typically sits downstream of a particulate removing pre filter assembly. At the outlet of the dryer we have the perfect temperature for the removal of oil, and therefore the installation of a coalescing oil removal filter is always recommended. The dryer and filters can be positioned in between air receiver storage tanks. Common sense would suggest that a wet tank is installed upstream of the dryer, and clean air treatment, and a dry tank will sit downstream. Your municipality will require you and your business to dispose of the oil/water condensate, which is removed by the dryer and filters, in accordance with municipal requirements and suspended oil levels.
How it works
Our tried-and-tested approach to get you a reliable compressed air solution at the lowest possible cost of ownership looks like this:
Discovery call
Our solutions specialist visits your facility to discuss your current situation, pain points, future plans, and potential government incentives. We can undertake as little, or as much, of your project as you would like.
Requirement analysis
We analyze the compressed air equipment at your facility, its performance, condition, and suitability. We ensure that storage, piping, and compressed air quality are in line with your requirements and best practices.
Turnkey installation
Everything we do is “in house.” Air audits, leak detection, design, build, and service are handled quickly and efficiently. This approach means that we manage every aspect of your project, avoiding finger pointing and single source supply for you and your organization.
Maintenance and repair
Whether you require emergency breakdown response, predictive, or preventative maintenance our team has you covered. Air end and motor service and rebuilds, piping, and analysation are also available.
