About The Company
Our client, a Southern Ontario-based manufacturer, designs and builds engineered shot peening and blasting systems for the aerospace, automotive, and defense sectors. Their work demands clean, reliable compressed air to power high-precision surface treatment processes—where any inconsistency can compromise quality and safety.
The Problem
Air Solutions Canada was selected to support Boeing’s Frederickson Fabrication Division in Puyallup, Washington, through a subcontracted project.
The requirement: a reliable compressed air system capable of delivering a large volume of contaminant-free air for Boeing’s specialized metal treatment process.
Compressed air is fundamental to the operation. It propels an abrasive shot at high velocity to treat critical aerospace components. The challenge was clear: deliver a compressed air system that met Boeing’s strict engineering and performance standards—while ensuring dependable operation in a mission-critical environment.
Engagement Details
Air Solutions Canada was trusted to engineer and supply the complete compressed air infrastructure. Our Sales, Engineering, and Mechanical Design teams worked closely with the client’s project management team, applying CAD modelling and technical feedback loops to refine the system and meet exact performance expectations.
The goal was to ensure:
- Accurate equipment sizing
- Energy-efficient operation
- Long-term system reliability
- Full compliance with Boeing’s specifications
We delivered a fully integrated, high-performance compressed air system, including:
- Kaeser ESD250 Rotary Screw Compressor – Provides 1,278 CFM at 125 PSI
- Kaeser TG450 Secotec Refrigerated Dryer – Ensures clean, dry air
- Kaeser Inline Filters (F350KB, F350KE, F350KA) – Multi-stage filtration for oil, particulate, and vapour removal
- Kaeser i.CF30 Aquamat – Environmentally responsible condensate management
- Kaeser EcoDrains – Zero-loss automatic drains that maintain reliability and reduce energy waste
- Custom Air Receiver – Stabilizes pressure during peak air demand
Every component was specified to meet exact system performance targets while minimizing the long-term cost of ownership and operational risk.
The Result
The equipment package was delivered on schedule, in full alignment with project demands and Boeing’s compressed air specifications. The system is expected to be commissioned later this year, with final performance data and photos to follow.

Testimonial
“Air Solutions Canada was selected for this project, ahead of two other competitors. We didn't appreciate Atlas Copco's “one size fits all” suggestion of multiple VSD machines, and the other was Comairco offering antiquated North American technology, laden with tariffs. Above all else, Air Solutions provided expert consultative advice, based on our needs, and not just simply what they had in their product portfolio. They provided 2D and 3D CAD support, which enabled us to visualize what the station would actually look like. The P & I diagram allowed us to provide the companies quoting the pipe and ductwork installation, detailed pipe and duct runs, with measurements, so that everyone quoted "Apples to Apples”. The design process was a breeze, thanks to the Air Solutions applications team."

At Air Solutions Canada, our goal isn’t just to deliver equipment—it’s to deliver confidence. Whether you’re preparing for a global aerospace contract or updating your facility’s air system, our team is ready to help with rapid response, deep technical experience, and a radically different approach to compressed air.
The ultimate guide on rightsizing your compressed air system
Choosing the right compressed air system is crucial to minimize the total cost of ownership. How do you calculate the air demand in flow rate (CFM) and pressure (PSIG), what's the power requirement (V), and how does that translate in a compressed air system with one or more compressors (hp)?

Compressors
Our range of air compressors includes reciprocating piston, oil free, and oil injected rotary screw air compressors, from 3hp up to 700hp, and everything in between. If you do not know what you are looking for, we can assist with that too.
Dryers
Selecting the right dryer and filtration to ensure your facility receives clean, dry compressed air consistently, depends on many things. Our clean air selection process is based around ISO 8573.1 quality class standards.
Filters
If you are looking for assistance in the filtration of dirt, oil, water, bacteria, hydrocarbons, oil odor or vapor, we have a filter, or an element to capture unwanted contaminants you need to stop. Compressed air, inert gases, liquids, ambient air, and water filtration is what we do best.
Condensate Management
Disposing of the compressed air oil/water condensate byproduct, created by your compressor station, carries big legal, and environmental responsibilities. The person knowingly discharging oil to drain, is responsible.
Accessories
Whatever it is you're looking for, our accessories range from the gauges and valves in the compressor room, all the way through to the hoses, air knives, nozzles, and blow guns at the points of use.
